Each year, 3,500 students enjoy the Canadore experience - small class sizes and direct access to faculty and support services, including an Aboriginal Learning Unit and a strong special needs department. We also boast one of the most beautiful campuses in the country.
At Canadore, we are committed to growing to meet the needs of our students - that’s why each year we update our offerings and add new programs. In Fall 2007, we added the Sport Conditioning program, Recreation Therapy, and the Fine Craft and Design program to our list of offerings. In Fall 2008, we will be offering the new Crime Scene Investigation program.
Canadore students also have a unique opportunity to turn their college diploma into a university degree. Canadore shares a campus with Nipissing University and the two schools have a formal agreement which provides degree completion opportunities for all diploma graduates.
We also pride ourselves in preparing our students to meet the needs of the workforce - and we’re doing a good job. A recent study shows that 93.2% of employers were very satisfied/satisfied with the skills of the graduates they hired.
Student success means more than just grades and employment though; it’s also about enjoying your college years. College is about developing lasting friendships and experiencing student life, whether through student clubs, social outings, recreation or athletic activities.
Canadore offers a wonderful academic environment to begin your college career, restart your education or acquire skills to meet today’s workplace needs. I encourage you to learn more about our college - and look forward to welcoming you as a student next year!
