Student Activities

In order to ensure that students have a voice in various college extracurricular activities and on issues within the College, there are a number of committees on which student representatives participate:

Canadore Students' Representative Council Inc. (CSRC)
The CSRC is an elected official student body representing full- and part-time students at Canadore College. All students who pay ancillary fees (which fund the organization) when registering are part of CSRC. CSRC deals with student life at all three campuses. In early September, CSRC organizes a fun-filled orientation week for new students to introduce you to college life with events including Shinerama, a national fundraising event for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and a proud Canadore tradition for more than thirty years. During the year, CSRC organizes student awareness campaigns and many other activities to make your college years memorable and fun. The CSRC also produces the Student Handbook, an excellent tool for you to record daily reminders and to get information on college resources and activities.

The CSRC and the Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) are joint owners of the Student Centre, which houses The Wall, Pal's Variety Store and a Tim Hortons kiosk. The CSRC and NUSU also jointly run a new food service within The Wall, and operate the campus food bank, which serves students at both institutions and is open during the school year.

CSRC's College Drive office is shared with NUSU and is located in the Student Centre, beside the Tim Hortons kiosk. CSRC also has offices at Canadore's Commerce Court and Aviation Campuses.
