This Continuing Education Calendar outlines Canadore College’s course and workshop offerings in North Bay, West Nipissing, Parry Sound, and Mattawa. Some courses are delivered in the traditional classroom while others are available through correspondence, Internet and Contact North. OntarioLearn students are required to purchase their own textbooks. A textbook list for OntarioLearn courses can be found by clicking the OntarioLearn link on our website. Canadore’s bookstore does not carry most OntarioLearn textbooks. We recommend that you purchase your OntarioLearn textbook from www.textnet.ca.

What is a prerequisite?
A prerequisite is a course (or other qualification) required for entry into another course. It is your responsibility to ensure that all prerequisites are met before registering.

Senior Citizens’ Fees
Senior citizens, 55 and older, are eligible for a 15% discount on the tuition fee portion only on all continuing education courses. In addition, financial assistance is available for candidates who qualify. There may also be an
additional material fee charge.

Entry Requirements
You may enrol at Canadore College if you are 19 years of age or older or if you have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma/Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent. General interest courses are intended primarily for adults unless otherwise specified. Some programs may require successful completion of Grade 12 English, Mathematics, or Science (or equivalent). Previous work/life experience may earn you advanced course standing. If you are uncertain of your ability to handle a program, please inquire about academic upgrading.
