Canadore Financial Aid

Canadore College has a large, diversified financial assistance program. The program is designed not only to reward academic excellence and achievement, but to assist students who are in financial need.

Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of academic excellence, attendance and overall contribution to the classroom.

Bursaries are awarded on the basis of financial need and satisfactory academic progress.

There are also a number of scholarships and bursaries that do require the student to apply in writing. Emergency Loans are available from the Financial Aid Office on a short-term basis only. These loans are distributed to students who are waiting for funding to come in, ie. OSAP. All loans are fully repayable. Loan applications may be submitted at any time throughout the academic year. A $10.00 service charge applies.

Discretionary Assistance Bursary is available to students in need of one-time only emergency funding. Applications may be requested in the Financial Aid Office.
