The above noted programs provide part-time, on-campus employment to eligible students. Students must have demonstrated financial need to qualify for the program. It is understood that students will have accessed all possible funding sources, including OSAP, to support themselves throughout the academic year, before applying for OWSP eligibility. Work study is not intended to replace OSAP or provide emergency funding; it is to act as a supplement to other larger resources.
Visit the iStudent portal or the bulletin boards near Career Services for listings of the jobs available on campus. Then, read thoroughly, print and complete the OWSP/iCanWork application, submit the form to the Financial Aid Office, Room C221 at College Drive, Room W100 at Commerce Court, or Room Y119 at the Aviation Campus. Your application will be reviewed and you will be notified of your eligibility status via your Canadore e-mail account within 1 week. Once you receive this confirmation, attach a copy of it to your resume and submit it to the departments that you are interested in working. Students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher to remain in the program.
