Update on H1N1 and MMR Vaccinations

High risk students and staff are encouraged to get their H1N1 vaccination. Please stop by the Health Centre and sign up using the sign-up sheet outside the Health Centre.

High risk people include:

  • Medical or Chronic Conditions
    • Diabetes
    • Asthma
    • Rheumatoid Arthritis
    • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
    • Heart Disease
  • Aboriginals living in First Nation Communities
Mumps Catch Up Program for Post Secondary Students
There are now 7 confirmed cases of mumps in the North Bay area. Anyone who has not had two MMRs should come to the Health Centre to schedule an appointment.

Canadore College takes the threat of a Pandemic very seriously. In response, we maintain active Pandemic Influenza and Business Continuity Planning Committees and who are monitoring the current world health situation.

Reduce your chances of becoming infected with an influenza virus by following proper and regular hand-washing techniques.

Please note: If you are ill, please notify your immediate supervisor and stay at home.

Facilities operations will be grooming washroom areas on a regular basis to ensure an adequate supply of soap and paper towels are available.

Hand sanitizers have been ordered and will be distributed to all campuses and locations.
