Start an exciting career in the world of marketing with the Business Administration - Marketing program. This program will teach you specific skills in industrial and consumer sales, retailing, advertising, market research and marketing management.
Develop marketing and advertising plans, perform market research, analyze consumer buying behaviour, deliver sales presentations, and develop marketing recommendations in this comprehensive program. You will also acquire a broad base of business skills and knowledge in accounting, data processing, economics, statistics, communications and business management.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Business programs have a common first semester. If you wish to change to another Business program, you may do so after the first semester. The Business Administration - Marketing program is encouraged for those students wishing to further their business knowledge and training, or planning to attend university in the future.
Canadore College’s Business Administration Marketing Program is accredited by the Canadian Institute of Marketing.
Admission Requirements
Ontario Secondary School Diploma at or above the general level or its equivalent. Grade 12 English and Grade 11 Mathematics or equivalents are required. Grade 12 Mathematics is recommended.
Mature Students: Applicants aged 19 or over without the OSSD will be considered on the basis of their results on the College’s Mature Student Test.
Graduates of the new Ontario Secondary School Curriculum: Ontario Secondary School Diploma with courses from the College (C), University (U), University/College (M), or Open (O) preparation levels.
Required courses: Grade 12 Compulsory English (ENG 4C or ENG 4U) and any Grade 11 Mathematics (C) or (U).
Recommended courses (not used in the admission selection process): • Grade 12 (O) Communications in the World of Business and Technology (EBT 4O) • Grade 11 (O) and/or Grade 12 (C) Information Technology in Business (BTA 3O), (BTX 4C) • Grade 11 (M) and/or Grade 12 (M) Financial Accounting (BAF 3M), (BAT 4M) • Grade 11 (C) and/or Grade 12 (C) Entrepreneurial Studies (BDI 3C), (BDV 4C)

CERTIFICATIONS & DESIGNATIONS
Certain courses within the program will enable you to obtain credit toward certification with professional groups such as the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario and the Ontario Management Development Program.
With the successful completion of four semesters in the Business Administration - Marketing program, students are eligible for the Ontario Management Development Program (OMDP) leadership certificate, recognized by both private and public sector employers. Attendance and grade conditions apply.
