Earn while you learn! The two-year Small Business Management (Co-op) program allows you to participate in a partnership between an employer, the college and you, the student. This unique arrangement gives you paid work experience in a chosen career field, which will enhance the educational component of the program and offer you expanded employment options upon graduation.

Small Business Management (Co-op) will teach you how to:
• successfully start up, own and operate new business ventures; and
• act as a highly motivated and self-reliant employee, able to properly evaluate, implement and manage new and existing business opportunities.

During this program, you will evaluate business opportunities and run a business venture on campus for eight weeks in your fourth semester.

Canadore’s Small Business programs are the best of their kind in Canada and prepare you for a bright entrepreneurial future or an employment career with excellent potential for advancement.

 
IMPORTANT NOTE
Business programs have a common first semester. If you wish to change to another Business program, you may do so after the first semester. Entrance to the third year of the Business Administration program is encouraged for those students wishing to further their business knowledge and training, or planning to attend university in the future.
Admission Requirements


Ontario Secondary School Diploma at or above the general level or its equivalent. Grade 12 English and Grade 11 Mathematics or equivalents are required. Grade 12 Mathematics is recommended.

Mature Students:
Applicants aged 19 or over without the OSSD will be considered on the basis of their results on the College’s Mature Student Test.

Graduates of the new Ontario Secondary School Curriculum: Ontario SecondarySchool Diploma with courses from the College (C), University (U), University/College (M), or Open (O) preparation levels.

Required courses:
Grade 12 Compulsory English (ENG 4C or ENG 4U) and any Grade 11 Mathematics (C) or (U).
