Small Business Administration Co-op

Earn while you learn! The three-year Small Business Administration (Co-op) program allows you to participate in a partnership between an employer, the college and you, the student. This unique arrangement gives you paid work experience in a chosen career field, which will enhance the educational component of the program and offer you expanded employment options upon graduation.

The program is designed to produce graduates who can:

  • successfully start up, own and operate new business ventures; and
  • act as highly motivated and self-reliant employees, able to properly evaluate, implement and manage new and existing business opportunities.

For the first four academic semesters, the Small Business Administration (Co-op) program is identical to the Small Business Management program.

In this intense three-year program, you will evaluate business opportunities and run a business venture on campus for eight weeks in your fourth semester. In semesters five and six, you will further your education and training by acquiring business skills and knowledge necessary for success in the business world. In-class instruction is supplemented by two co-op work terms and a work placement in semester eight.

Canadore’s Small Business programs are the best of their kind in Canada and prepare you for a bright entrepreneurial future or an employment career with excellent potential for advancement.
