Advertising - New Media

Creativity, imagination, showmanship…whatever you call it, you know you have it. In fact, others have said you were born to create. You love to think, conceptualize, plan, perform and communicate – it’s who you are and what you want to do. If this description hits home, the Advertising - Creative Media program at Canadore College is where you need to be. The course will help flex those creative muscles while allowing you to work with industry professionals to obtain a rewarding career that embraces your talents.

The marketing communications field is not only growing, but also evolving, offering more opportunities for young adults. Future employees will be chosen for their unique ability to convey memorable, effective messages to specific audiences via a growing list of communication channels. This dynamic industry has a seemingly unquenchable thirst for innovative ideas and solutions; therefore, this program is perfect for those with the ability to think beyond the obvious.

The two-year Advertising - Creative Media program covers all aspects of this exciting, fast-paced industry, with an emphasis on how the elements of the creative and planning processes work together. The program mirrors the working world and the standards which must be met – tight deadlines, multi-tasking, working under pressure and delivering professional ideas and presentations. It offers creative individuals the opportunity to broaden and deepen their knowledge of the industry and to develop a communications portfolio that captures potential employers interest.
