You can make a difference!

The opportunity to positively impact the quality of life of an individual with an illness or disability is extremely rewarding. Therapeutic Recreation is one of the fastest growing professions in health care.

  • Theory and practices for performing standardized assessments.
  • Documentation procedures as prescribed by Therapeutic Recreation Ontario.
  • Procedures and strategies relating to leisure education and counselling.

Students will also experience practical work placements, under the guidance and supervision of a recreation professional (students complete 400 hours of work placement, including a seven-week internship in the final semester).
