Fast Track Diploma Options for College or University Graduates
If you are a college or university graduate, you are eligible to fast-track any of Canadore College’s three recreation-related diploma programs:
Recreation and Leisure Services
Recreation Therapy
Sport Conditioning
Graduates of these programs will have successfully achieved all Ministry of Colleges and Universities program standards associated with their diploma.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have a university degree or a college diploma. Applicants will receive a block transfer of 23 credits and an additional 16 credits if they have course equivalence for these courses: CMM 125, CMM 190, PSY 100, and SOC 100.

Students complete 100 hours of work supervised placement.

ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATION OPTIONAL
Students have opportunities to participate in additional certification programs including: fitness, gymnastics coach, aquatics, canoeing, wall climbing, wilderness first aid, High Five, Sport Taping and Wrapping, Smart Serve, Inclusive Recreation Coach, WHMIS, NCCP, GPS, etc. Students complete these certifications at their own expense and generally outside of scheduled class time.
Students will also have the opportunity to acquire other related certifications including: gymnastics coach, High Five, Sport Taping and Wrapping, WHMIS, and Sport First Aid.

DIPLOMA/DEGREE OPTION
Graduates receive advanced standing at several universities and may be able to obtain a degree within a year and a half after graduating from Canadore. Program transfer agreements exist with these universities: Brock, Waterloo, Laurentian, and Athabasca.
