Non Tuition-Related Incidental Fees

These are college-levied charges and do not constitute tuition-related incidental fees. These fees are chargeable to the student in addition to the standard tuition fee and have been approved by the College’s Board of Governors.


Student Bursary Fund Fee

The Student Bursary Fund Fee will generate funds to continue to support our bursary awards program for students in financial need.


Student Activity Fee

The Student Activity Fee contributes to various student-related initiatives including social and educational activities.


Student Centre Maintenance Fund

The Student Centre Maintenance Fund Fee will be used to support ongoing repairs and upgrades to the Student Centre.


The Student Centre Building Fee

The Student Building Fee will be used to operate student facilities for social and recreational purposes and fund the feasibility and construction of a new Student Centre.


Student Athletic Fee

The Student Athletic Fee is levied and approved by the Athletic Council. This fee contributes to the recreational and athletic activities and promotes individual personal growth and well-being.


Student Support Services Fee

The Student Support Fee contributes to a number of student-related initiatives including Health Centre Services, Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, Student Orientation, Peer Tutoring, Career and Employment Services, Student Identification, and Ontario Work Study.


Bus Pass Fee

As of September 1, 2010, a North Bay Transit Pass will be included in the tuition costs of all full-time Canadore students. The $181.00 fee will be charged to the student’s ancillary fees as a result of a student referendum that took place January 2009. Bus passes will be effective from September 1, 2010 to April 30, 2011.
The bus pas will be incorporated into the student card. Lost cards should be reported to the Registrar’s office as soon as possible so that a replacement card may be produced.
Following MTCU guidelines, refunds, including bus passes, will be issued for those students who withdraw within the first 10 days of school. Refunds will not be issued after the 10-day period as per MTCU guidelines.

Alumni Fee

This fee provides support for the development of the Alumni program. The fee supports you as a current student through the purchase of capital equipment and bursaries/scholarships. This fee is charged to a student in each year of registration.


Convocation Fee

The Convocation Fee is a one-time ancillary fee charged to all first-year students. This fee contributes to the cost of the convocation exercises.


Technology Fee

The Technology Fee contributes to the support and advancement of technology use by students. Hardware, software and networks that support the academic environment are included in this fee.


Co-op Fee

All programs that involve co-op study charge a co-op fee, which includes a student support fee for the work semesters integrated with their program. This fee contributes towards the administration of the program including job search assistance and on-site visits by faculty members, and ensures that the work environment is appropriate and geared to the student’s field of study.


Student Health Fee

A health plan is provided for all CSRC members. Visit the CSRC office to obtain a copy of the Student Benefits booklet.
