Canadore Manufacturing Creative Ideas

Canadore unveiled the floor plan for its new Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Production (ICAMP) last week during the Advanced Manufacturing to Enhance Your Bottom Line conference.

Architectural firm Evans Bertrand Hill Wheeler showcased the proposed layout for the designated space identified for ICAMP to over 165 conference delegates. Small and medium enterprises will have access to design space, cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printers and scanners, a 3D theatre room and more.

The two-day conference addressed inventive strategies to employ in manufacturing and production, including automation to reduce environmental impact, 3D laser scanning, simulation and printing technologies, manufacturing best practices, product prototyping and entrepreneurial leadership.

ICAMP is a unique partnership arrangement focused on business development and expansion that allows companies to conceptualize, design, prototype and improve or test new products for the commercial marketplace. The Centre will be an incubator facility to assist in technology transfer, act as a retention tool and stimulate business growth. ICAMP will be housed at Canadore’s Commerce Court Campus and is slated to open its doors in September 2013.
