The program was developed by the CCAA (Canadian Council for Aviation and Aerospace) and is Transport Canada approved.

Note: Graduates receive 10 months’ accreditation toward an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence, Category “S”. Class attendance is mandatory.

OSSD or equivalent, ENG4C or ENG4U and any Gr 11 or 12 Math (C), (U) or (M)

Attendance policy: 

The attendance policy adopted by the School of Aviation conforms to the Transport Canada policy for Approved Training Organizations. To preserve a high standard of maintenance and flight safety, students having missed more than 5% (53 hours) of the course through absences will not qualify for the experience credit of 10 months that is applied to the 30 month Aircraft Maintenance Engineer-Category “S” apprenticeship.

Accreditation: 

In addition to using the CCAA (Canadian Council for Aviation and Aerospace) curriculum, Canadore has CCAA accreditation. Air Canada’s hiring practice gives preference to individuals with CCAA accreditation.
